Visit by Chinese official boosts wide-ranging co-operation: PM
Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung yesterday received Vice Chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) Ho Hau Wah, describing his working visit as a practical contribution to the two countries' wide-ranging co-operation.
Viet Nam and China have enjoyed a traditional, friendly and mutually beneficial relationship, Dung told the Chinese official, who is former head of the Macau Special Administrative Region.
Viet Nam would try its best, together with China, to further develop the co-operation for the benefit of both nations, Dung stressed.
He suggested that the two sides continue to facilitate trade and investment between their businesses, and asked China to create favourable conditions for the Vietnamese community in the country.
Ho told Dung that the comprehensive Viet Nam - China strategic partnership has strongly benefited the development of the two countries in recent years and applauded Viet Nam's socio-economic progress.
The same day, Ho was received by the President of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front, Huynh Dam, with the two discussing further ways in which to develop bilateral ties.
