Audi and Volkswagen, two strong German automobile brands have recently opened their showrooms in Hanoi and chosen distributors for their products, reported

The two manufacturers will not assemble automobiles in Vietnam but import finished products to the country. Meanwhile, Nissan of Japan has announced that it will open its first automobile assembling workshop in Vietnam next year.

Earlier, Bac Kan-based Bao Toan Joint Stock Company signed a cooperation contract with China’s Lifan to build an automobile factory in the northern province of Bac Kan with a total investment capital of $20 million and an annual production capacity of 15,000 units.
