A review of financial and monetary integration between members of ASEAN will top the agenda of the 14th Asean Finance Minister's Meeting from April 5 to 8 in Nha Trang City, Vietnamese news agency VNS quoted Deputy Minister of Finance Tran Xuan Ha as saying Friday.

High on the agenda would be an exchange on macro-economic policies and a review of Asean financial activities, Ha said. Finance ministers would meet on financial and monetary integration between Asean members and propose the establishment of an Asean Infrastructure Support Fund to foster capital mobilisation for infrastructure investment in the region.

A plan would also be made to improve co-ordination policies to ensure stable regional economic growth, said Ha. Measures to strengthen co-operation in insurance, tax, customs and investment promotion pro-grammes would be included in the agenda.

Ha said two deputy-ministerial level meetings would take place from April 5 to 7 in which a report would be drafted for the AFMM14 and the Asean+3 Finance Minister's Meeting due to take place in Uzbekistan later in the year.

Asean finance ministers are also expected to sign a protocol on amendments of the Asean Harmonised Tariff Nomenclature and propose measures to improve statistics compilation and the declaration of export goods among Asean countries.
