KTC helps members prepare for the AEC.

Learning courses offered with post-payment option and interest-free ten months installment plan.
 
Mr. Nattawat Chayakul, Vice President - Credit Card Business, “KTC” or Krungthai Card Public Company Limited, said “For this summer school break, KTC has developed a new promotional campaign to help working age members and their family members improve their skills and knowledge in preparation for the much anticipated ASEAN Economic Community or AEC. We are working with seven leading language institutes which are Wall Street, Boston Bright, Language @ Click, EduFirst, Fast English, Inlingua and ECC, as well as two tutoring institutes Tutor House and Star Maker. All members can pay for their course in installments using a KTC credit card with the interest-free KTC Flexi program for up to ten months. There is no credit card fee. More privileges: 500 Baht cash back for the first 200 KTC members who choose to pay 20,000 Baht or more in installments at participating institutions. The offers are valid from now until May 31st, 2013.”

It is commonplace in journalism to write two types of articles at the transition point between the year that has passed and the New Year. As this writer qualifies as an “old hand” in observing Thailand with a track record dating back 14 years, it is time take a shot at what may unfold in Thailand in 2011.

The first issue that can’t be answered is the health of Thailand’s beloved King Bhumibol, who is now 83 years old. He is the world's longest reigning monarch, but elaborate birthday celebrations in December failed to mask concern over his health. More
