Two sets of KTC debentures to be offered during August 6th and 8th

*Two sets of KTC debentures to be offered during August 6th and 8th with * *4.75% per annum interest for the 3-year debenture and 5% per annum interest for the 5-year debenture

*Mr. Rathian Srimongkol, President & Chief Executive Officer, "KTC" *or*Krungthai Card Public Company Limited
**,* discloses "KTC is *offering two sets of debenture with total offering value of not exceeding 2,500 Million Baht *as a savings alternative to the general public. *The first set has a term of three years and interest rate of 4.75% per annum,* to be redeemed in 2016. *The second set has a term of five years and interest rate of 5% per annum,* to be redeemed in 2018.

Interest will be paid every three months. Subscription is set at the *minimum amount of 100,000 Baht* with increments of 100,000 Baht. These debentures are unsecured and unsubordinated with debenture holders' representative.

The principal will be repaid on maturity. TRIS Rating Co., Ltd. *has given these debentures a BBB+ rating with 'steady' trend.* Members of the general public can subscribe to both sets of debentures during August 6th and 8th, 2013."

It is commonplace in journalism to write two types of articles at the transition point between the year that has passed and the New Year. As this writer qualifies as an “old hand” in observing Thailand with a track record dating back 14 years, it is time take a shot at what may unfold in Thailand in 2011.
