Bangkok, June 11 - The Thai hotel group, Dusit International, sees opportunities for taking over hotels both at home and abroad after postponing investment plans for more than two years due to worldwide economic problems and domestic political issues.

Dusit expects to finalise one deal this year. Potential destinations are Germany, Italy, and the UK. In China, Dusit plans to take over one hotel in Beijing.

Group chairman, Mr. Chanin, said taking over a hotel in China must be done carefully because the investment cost is higher than in the United States. But China has more room to grow because of high demand.
