Thai Smile to add flights Thai Smile Airways, a subsidiary of Thai Airways, plans to increase the frequency of its scheduled service between Bangkok and Siem Reap, the company’s CEO said following the launch of the route on Monday. Woranate Laprabang, the airline’s chief executive officer, said Thai Smile would add Wednesday flights to its roster in April, increasing its flight frequency from four to five days a week. “After the market picks up, especially the European market, we look forward to [offering] daily flights, hopefully by July of this year,” he said. Thai Smile operates an Airbus A-320 with all-economy 174 seats on flights between Bangkok and Siem Reap, with two flights a day, four days a week. Ketchayong Skow, Thai Smile’s chief compliance officer, said the airline’s $77 one-way fare on the route was competitive, but it also boasts a baggage allowance of 30 kilograms. “Most people go to Thailand for shopping, so they will bring back big luggage,” he said. “So travel with Thai Smile and the big luggage will not be a problem.”
