Singapore to release advance Q4 GDP data on Jan 2
Singapore will release advance estimates for fourth-quarter gross domestic product at 8 a.m. local time (0000 GMT) on January 2, Reuters quoted the government said as saying Friday.

The city-state reports advance GDP data based largely on information from the first two months of the quarter, and follows up with detailed GDP numbers for the period about five to six weeks later.

Trade Minister Lim Hng Kiang said last week that Singapore's economy will grow by less than 2.5 percent this year, and the government's GDP forecast for 2009 is in a range of minus 1 percent to plus 2 percent.
