F1 excites retailers and restaurants in Singapore
The excitement among retailers and restaurants in Singapore is on the rise as the city-state is about to host the Formula One night in a week’s time, reported the Channel News Asia.
The businesses are already cashing in on the event with attractive offers. The F1 Merchandise Shop at the Shangri-La Hotel and the Screening Room, an entertainment venue, are among the most aggressive, said the report.
The Fairmont Hotel is offering F1 fans what it calls an ultimate dining experience for four with a 61-course meal that reflects the 61 laps of the Singapore F1 Grand Prix circuit. The meal which will include a wide selection of seafood, meats and vegetables is priced at S$5,000.
Meanwhile, the Singapore Tourism Board is confident that it will achieve its target of S$100 million (1$=S$3.5) in tourism receipts from the upcoming night race.
