Vietjet continues to offer Zero-Fare tickets under the “Free Summer, Fly for Free” campaign

(Bangkok, 08 May, 2017) – Following the exciting "Free Summer, Fly for Free" campaign and in celebration of new routes from Hanoi to Singapore and Siem Riep, Vietjet announces a three-golden-days promotion offering millions of promotional tickets priced from only zero Baht within the golden hours 12h-14h (from May 9 to May 11, 2017) at www.vietjetair.com. This latest promotion is an extension of Vietjet’s popular summertime campaign designed to give high quality, low-cost travel opportunities for Thai travelers to connect to international destinations.

The promotion applies for all international routes from Vietnam, including to Seoul and Busan (South Korea), Hong Kong, Kaohsiung, Taipei, Taichung and Tainan (Taiwan), Singapore, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), Yangon (Myanmar) and Siem Reap (Cambodia). Travel time is from August 1, 2017 and December 31, 2017 (except public holidays).

Promotional tickets are available for booking within the golden hours from 12:00 to 14:00 (GMT+7) at www.vietjetair.com (also compatible with smartphones at https://m.vietjetair.com) or at www.facebook.com/vietjetvietnam (just click the “Booking” tab). Payment can be easily made with debit and credit cards of Visa, MasterCard, JCB, KCP and American Express.

Travel fans in Thailand can also enjoy participating in the “Free Summer, Fly for Free” game at Vietjet’s microsite: freesummer.vietjetair.com (available from May 8, 2017 to June 4, 2017). Visitors will have the chance of winning one of the weekly awards of: 5 free return flights (each flight with 5 free tickets for a five-person group) and a Grand Prize Award of a free package tour to an optional destination.

Also, all customers successfully booking tickets at www.vietjetair.com with instant payment within the golden hours from May 8, 2017 to June 15, 2017 will also have chance to join a lucky draw for gifts including mobile phone top-up cards and air ticket promotion codes (*) at www.summerwin.vietjetair.com.

The summer campaign will launch a series of activations including interactive games, amazing performances by Vietnamese and international celebrities, and a special “Vietjet Bikini” challenge (only at selected Vietnamese airports and onboard Vietjet flights), which are expected to “heat up” the summer for a select few lucky passengers.

It is commonplace in journalism to write two types of articles at the transition point between the year that has passed and the New Year. As this writer qualifies as an “old hand” in observing Thailand with a track record dating back 14 years, it is time take a shot at what may unfold in Thailand in 2011.

The first issue that can’t be answered is the health of Thailand’s beloved King Bhumibol, who is now 83 years old. He is the world's longest reigning monarch, but elaborate birthday celebrations in December failed to mask concern over his health. More
