US-ASEAN Business Council Inaugurates Engagement with ASEAN Transport Ministers
(Manila) The US-ASEAN Business held its inaugural business mission to the ASEAN Transport Ministers Meeting Nov. 17-18 in Manila, Philippines, and agreed to expand and continue the engagement. The Council’s delegation of 8 leading U.S. companies was led by Elizabeth Dugan, Vice President-Operations of the US-ASEAN Business Council.
The delegation hosted the 10 ASEAN Ministers, Senior Transport Officials and ASEAN Deputy Secretary General H.E. Lim Hong Hin for a working luncheon exchanging ideas on how the U.S. private sector can support plans to accelerate transport infrastructure development and address regional disparities in infrastructure.
