From December 5-6, Promenada customers who spend every 500 baht at participating retailers within the resort mall will be entered into a lucky draw to win two exclusive balloon flight tickets worth 200,000 Baht!
As one of the most important happenings in the Chiang Mai calendar, the Thailand International Balloon Festival will be held at Gymkhana Golf Club Chiang Mai from December 7-8. Promenada will stage a mini entertainment show on both days, plus a balloon tethering display and kite flying activities in the spirit of this celebrated festival. There will also be special promotions from retailers during the event programme, and a “Night Glow” concert featuring performances by Hugo, Garth Taylor and Palmy.
Promenada will conduct activities before and during the festival with promotions of the Promenada brand on the “Logo Grab” application, specially adapted from the Balloon Festival organiser’s web site, which can be found at

It is commonplace in journalism to write two types of articles at the transition point between the year that has passed and the New Year. As this writer qualifies as an “old hand” in observing Thailand with a track record dating back 14 years, it is time take a shot at what may unfold in Thailand in 2011.

The first issue that can’t be answered is the health of Thailand’s beloved King Bhumibol, who is now 83 years old. He is the world's longest reigning monarch, but elaborate birthday celebrations in December failed to mask concern over his health. More
