Promenada Resort Mall Chiang Mai Presents
“Elite Model Look Thailand 2013”
Celebrate the Grand Opening of the Resort Style Mall on October 26, 20
Bangkok - Promenada Resort Mall Chiang Mai, the first resort-style shopping mall in Thailand, has announced its much-anticipated Grand Opening to take place on 26 October 2013. The celebration will feature a world-class supermodel search, the final of Elite Model Look Thailand 2013, in which young models will compete to win a chance to represent Thailand at Elite Model Look World 2013, to be held in Shenzhen, China, in November.
Mr. Tjeert Kwant, President and Chief Executive Officer of ECC International Real Estate, developer of the 2.9-billion Baht resort-mall project said, “Promenada’s Grand Opening event makes a fitting host for Elite Model Look Thailand as the mall has seen many celebrity visits and dazzling entertainment events since its 1st phase opening in June. It is our great pleasure to be able to host the prestigious and very well-known Elite Model Look modelling contest as part of our Grand Opening celebration.”
Mr. Edward Kiti, President of Elite Model Management South East Asia, said, “This year’s Elite Model Look is a big milestone event as it marks the first year a male model will also be chosen. The program is sponsored by Tourism Authority of Thailand, BEC-Tero, True Visions, and Promenada Resort Mall Chiang Mai. An Elite Model Look Boot Camp will run from 21 to 25 of October, culminating in the True Visions and Channel 9-televised Final at Promenada on 26 October, to coincide with the Mall’s Grand Opening.”
The final round will be live-broadcasted from 20.30-22.00 on True Inside (TrueVisions 58) and the footage rerun on Modern 9 TV. Highlights from the first round and boot camp will be shown on 23-25 October from 19:00-19:30 on True Inside (TrueVisions 58), in addition to highlights of the program which will be televised worldwide with high quality HD on Fashion TV HD  exclusively on TrueVisions 147.
Elite Model Look is the world’s most prestigious model search, and since its establishment has found hundreds of thousands of contestants. In November, young girls from 60 countries, representing the most beautiful rising stars in the Elite Model Management network, will travel to Shenzhen to take part in the experience of a lifetime; a two-week Model Boot Camp, culminating in a World Final to be judged by fashion industry experts and insiders.
Promenada’s ‘More than Just Shopping’ resort mall concept has attracted over 1.3 million visitors since its 1st phase opening in June 2013, making it a destination for both Chiang Mai residents, tourists from other parts of Thailand and international visitors, and lending a positive contribution to Chiang Mai as a tourism hot-spot.
It’s diverse and colourful tenant mix offers a new way to shop, with leading retailers like Uniqlo, Sport World, Chi Chang Multimedia Experience Store, Rimping Supermarket and Beyond and Toy “R” Us bringing a greatly enriched Promenada shopping experience. The mall’s entertainment offering (under the concept of “a perfect day together”) features SF Cinema City, Kids@Play and a large ice skating rink.
Lush outdoor spaces bring a breath of fresh air and a feeling of being at a resort getaway whilst visitors enjoy a bold mix of flavours at excellent eateries, many with terraces overlooking the garden. Promenada also makes an excellent destination for Christmas and New Year parties, with the forthcoming Singha Beer Garden offering a great atmosphere for end of year celebrations.
Promenada’s vast entertainment offering adds up to an incredible family day out and a culmination of the exciting countdown to the official launch of Promenada Resort Mall Chiang Mai.
