Ground Breaking Ceremony held for Swiss-Belhotel Jambi

In January 2013, Swiss-Belhotel International and PT. Selaras Jaya Indah Hotelindo held the Ground Breaking Ceremony for Swiss-Belhotel Jambi in the city of Jambi, capital of Jambi Province in Central Sumatra.

The Ground Breaking Ceremony symbolises the start of project development for Swiss-Belhotel Jambi, which will be a 4-star international hotel scheduled to open in 2014. Located on Jalan Prof. Soemantri Brojonegoro in the city's central business and trading district, the hotel is de-signed in modern architectural style and will feature 120 guestrooms. Swiss-Belhotel Jambi will offer a range of international standard facilities to ensure the convenience and comfort of business and leisure travellers in Jambi, including restaurant, bar and lounge, meeting rooms, ballroom, swimming pool, gym and spa.

Swiss-Belhotel International Senior Vice President Operations and Development for Indonesia, Malaysia and Vietnam, Mr. Emmanuel Guillard stated “The presence of Swiss-Belhotel Jambi adds to the Group’s portfolio growth in Sumatera and in Indonesia. The hotel will provide affordable accom-modation and a convenient location in the heart of the city. The event was attended by PT. Selaras Jaya Indah Hotelindo President Director, Mr. Victor Gunawan, President Commissioner, Mr. Begawan Kamto, and Swiss-Belhotel International Regional Director of Operations and Projects, Mr. Raymond Zuest. His Excellency the Governor of Jambi, Drs. H. Hasan Basri Agus MM, His Excellency the Mayor of Jambi, Dr Bambang Priyanto, regional government offi-cials and journalists also attended the event.

It is commonplace in journalism to write two types of articles at the transition point between the year that has passed and the New Year. As this writer qualifies as an “old hand” in observing Thailand with a track record dating back 14 years, it is time take a shot at what may unfold in Thailand in 2011.
