SPECIAL CHARITY FUNDRAISING DINNER TALK: "Global Financial System and Challenges to Thailand" by Distinguished AIT Alumnus Dr. Prasarn Trairatvorakul,  Governor, Bank of Thailand
Dr. Prasarn Trairatvorakul, Governor of the Bank of Thailand, a distinguished AIT alumnus, will give a talk on"Global Financial System and Challenges to Thailand"  at a special Charity Dinner on 25th September 2013, from 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. at the Grand Ballroom, Grand Hyatt Erawan Bangkok Hotel.

The talk will be in Thai (with simultaneous English translation).

All proceeds will go to the Friends of AIT Foundation to support scholarships and research development at AIT.

Friends of AIT Foundation is a non-profit organization which was registered on 13 December 2011. Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn graciously donated a personal fund amounting to one million Baht for scholarships and research at AIT. Later, AIT alumni, AIT former faculty members, and AIT partners jointly donated over 16 million Baht as seed money.

COST:  Tickets - 30,000 Bht. for one table of 8 seats; 4000 Bht. for individual seat.

It is commonplace in journalism to write two types of articles at the transition point between the year that has passed and the New Year. As this writer qualifies as an “old hand” in observing Thailand with a track record dating back 14 years, it is time take a shot at what may unfold in Thailand in 2011.

The first issue that can’t be answered is the health of Thailand’s beloved King Bhumibol, who is now 83 years old. He is the world's longest reigning monarch, but elaborate birthday celebrations in December failed to mask concern over his health. More
