Eight boats sign-up during PIMEX for 2013 Cape Panwa Hotel Phuket Raceweek

The Cape Panwa Hotel Phuket Raceweek team had a busy four days at the Phuket International Boat Show (PIMEX) recently.

A special registration offer at the Show saw eight entries sign-up for the 10th Anniversary Raceweek, including a number of first-timers, and lots of interest from more.

A big welcome onboard to Seraph, Hurricane, Twin Sharks, Java, Ooh La La  and Atlanta for joining the 2013 fleet, and as the show closed two online entries for Linda and Suksakorn Too were received. We look forward to seeing you on the 17th – 21st July at the Cape Panwa Hotel Phuket Raceweek.

It is commonplace in journalism to write two types of articles at the transition point between the year that has passed and the New Year. As this writer qualifies as an “old hand” in observing Thailand with a track record dating back 14 years, it is time take a shot at what may unfold in Thailand in 2011.

The first issue that can’t be answered is the health of Thailand’s beloved King Bhumibol, who is now 83 years old. He is the world's longest reigning monarch, but elaborate birthday celebrations in December failed to mask concern over his health. More
