Chiang Mai Fest 2014 concludes after two great days of music, food and festival fun at Promenada

Chiang Mai – Promenada Resort Mall Chiang Mai, the first resort-style shopping mall in Thailand, brought to a close an exceptional couple of days of Chiang Mai’s internationally known music festival, Chiang Mai Fest 2014. Under the theme of “an International Cultural & Musical Heritage” the event presented a free-entry open-air musical celebration featuring artists such as Sound of Siam, boy band Take Two, South African songwriter Matthew Mole, Iyeoka, Hot Water, a punk rock band from Gainesville, Florida, and Akasha, Asia’s number one fusion band, plus many more supporting artists over the two festival days. Featuring an amazing sound and light display, endless selections for food and drinks and a warm,  welcoming atmosphere throughout, Chiang Mai Fest 2014 was a resounding success for Promenada, and for the City of Chiang Mai and its surrounding province.

Promenada’s aim in supporting this exciting festival is to position itself not only as a leading shopping mall but also to bring consistent, attractive entertainment offerings to customers, and promote Chiang Mai tourism. Promenada’s “More than just shopping” concept routinely sees the regional destination mall hosting a variety of top quality fashion, music, art, food shows, exhibitions and free concerts.

About Promenada Resort Mall Chiang Mai

Promenada Resort Mall Chiang Mai opened on 7th June 2013. The 2.9-billion Baht project is built on 58 rai of land, located on the new Chiangmai - Sankamphaeng Rd., 150 metres from Super Highway, only 15 minutes’ drive from the Airport and downtown Chiang Mai.

Promenada is the first “resort”-style air-conditioned shopping mall in Thailand. It is combined with an open-air tropical park, connecting wooden bridge and terraces, with the entire space designed to blend in with the vibrant city lifestyle and surrounding “close-to-nature” feel of Chiang Mai. The mall also reflects local arts in every corner, blending Western and local cultures; throughout, “Cow” models represent Dutch culture and lend a different personality to each zone; interior and exterior areas contribute to the aesthetic of being close to local people, such as with the ‘garden of rice’ and the design of pillars and ceilings which mimic the characteristic “Bo-sang umbrella” – the symbol of Chiang Mai.

Promenada also presents leading international and local lifestyle offerings by brands such as Rimping, Kaiyang Korat, The Duke’s, Le Gourmet Macaron, CHI CHANG, SF Cinema, Kids@Play, Toys R us Sportsworld and Uniqlo. The brands represent the retail element of Promenada’s “More than just shopping” concept, ensuring there is something exciting happening both indoors and out, all year round.
