An all-expense paid, romantic getaway

to Switzerland & Italy . . .

. . . the latest marketing campaign sponsored by Guy Laroche

Bangkok – After three years and three successful campaigns, Guy Laroche, the renowned men’s apparel line from France, is announcing its sponsorship of ‘The 4th Annual Sweet Escape to Switzerland & Italy’ or ‘Chok Kam Kob Fah Pee Si’ . . . Romance Trips.  This promotion is designed to increase brand awareness and allow Guy Laroche to express its appreciation to the company’s loyal ‘fashionistas’ for their support.  To do this, the company will offer an all-expense paid, overseas trip hosted by a well-known celebrity to five lucky couples.

The ‘Sweet Escape’ Campaign, better known in Thai as ‘Chok Kam Kob Fah’, is another well-received social marketing event in which Guy Laroche takes immense pride.  It was first created as a ‘fun’ and interesting marketing campaign for the brand’s loyal customers.  When it was introduced three years ago, the event was specifically designed to link the French apparel brand with the French box-office hit, ‘The Extraordinary Adventures of Adele Blanc-Sec’, which was being shown in Bangkok at that time.  Exceeding all expectations, the campaign received enormous attention from the Thai public, and five lucky couples were randomly selected for an all-expense paid vacation in Paris, France, accompanied by the celebrated movie star, Ta-Warit Thipkomut

Following the winning formula established during the inauguration year, Guy Laroche, once again took five lucky couples to Prague and Vienna with the celebrated singer, Techin Chayuti, in year two.

To make the campaign more appealing to their loyal patrons in 2012, the third year of the campaign, the internationally recognized men’s apparel line, once again, flew 5 lucky couples to Paris where they spent 6 days and 4 nights with the famous actor, Mario Maurer.

For the 2013 campaign, Guy Laroche promises to deliver more excitement and an once-in-a-lifetime experience to all the lucky couples.

Like the first three years, Guy Laroche is giving away five, all-expenses paid, romantic getaway packages for two that are each valued at Bht. 190,000.00.  The lucky five couples will get an opportunity to spend eight romantic days and five intimate nights in Switzerland and Italy with well-known, teen star Sailab-Weerachai Kwanampaiphan in the early March of next year.  Included with the winning package presented to each couple are fabulous prizes worth Bht. 1,500,000.00 from the campaign’s sponsors, including Teerak Studio and AKA Resort.

The process of winning one of the exclusive packages from the renowned men’s apparel line is very simple.  From September 1st to November 30, 2013, every Bht. 3,000.00 purchase from Guy Laroche’s latest collection, (or Bht. 2,000.00 spent on innerwear), from one of many of the brand’s counters and shops across the nation will entitle a shopper to two coupons making him (or her) eligible for a lucky draw at the end of the contest.

The winners will be announced in January, 2014 with the results posted on the Guy Laroche facebook page.  All winning couples, accompanied by Sailab-Weerachai Kwanampaiphan, will leave for their romantic getaway in Switzerland and Italy in the early March, 2014.

ASEAN  ANALYSIS

This year in Thailand-what next?

AseanAffairs   04 January 2011
By David Swartzentruber

It is commonplace in journalism to write two types of articles at the transition point between the year that has passed and the New Year. As this writer qualifies as an “old hand” in observing Thailand with a track record dating back 14 years, it is time take a shot at what may unfold in Thailand in 2011.

The first issue that can’t be answered is the health of Thailand’s beloved King Bhumibol, who is now 83 years old. He is the world's longest reigning monarch, but elaborate birthday celebrations in December failed to mask concern over his health. More
