Salmat, a publicly-listed Australian firm, has opened a second location for its business process outsourcing (BPO) operation here making the country its central hub for the Asia Pacific region, reported the Manila Bulletin.

Dr. Philip Hadcroft, Salmat general manager of strategy, said the new facility is located in the high-tech zone at McKinley Hill.

“This represents our strong commitment to the BPO industry and the Philippines in particular,” Hadcroft said.

Salmat has maintained service operations in Muntinlupa since 1996, primarily serving the Philippines domestic market.

“Salmat’s new BPO Solutions Center will extend existing statement processing services to embrace call center, computer programming, web content management, data entry and a range of IT-enabled services, in demand by overseas companies,” Hadcroft said.
