Japanese IT firm plans expansion in Philippines
As part of its expansion, Fujitsu has recently bought the Australia and South East Asia operations of Supply Chain Consulting Pty Ltd, a market leader of SAP and Oracle enterprise solutions and services. The $48 million deal will enable the company to widen its service offerings for its Philippine clients.
“Supply Chain Consulting is a leading global provider of enterprise and software solutions and this acquisition will further improve the services we are currently offering to our clients, especially in Manila,” explained Raymond Lacdao, Director of Supply Chain Consulting, Philippines. “Manila will be the center of excellence for the region when it comes to ERP software solutions.”
With Fujitsu’s global reach now supplementing Supply Chain’s capabilities, the latter will have more resources to support its solutions and services. Fujitsu has reported $53 billion in consolidated revenues in 2008 and aims to expand its offerings and services to Australia, New Zealand and South East Asia.
