PM Tan Dung in Berlin on a European tour

Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung held talks with German Chancellor Angela Merkel in Berlin Friday, targeting economics, trade and training, Vietnam News Agency reported.

The talks focused on promoting mutual understanding through exchange, developing economics, trade, and investment, improving education and vocational training, and facilitating development partnerships.

Chancellor Merkel, praising the approval of a joint government declaration on judicial and legal co-operation, also called for broader bilateral trade and agreed on further co-operation in transport, environment, energy and telecommunications.

Prime Minister Tan Dung later visited the United Kingdom, where he met with Speaker of the House of Commons Michael Martin and Speaker of the House of Lords Helene Hayman.
