EU promises $250 million grant for Indonesian education
The European Union is committed to granting $200 to 250 million, or 2.3 billion rupiah for education sector development on 2009 to Indonesia, reported national news agency Antara.

"Based on the Paris Declaration, international donors should be harmonized and syncronised their funding programme with the recipient countries," said the Secretay of the National Planning Board (Bappenas) Syahrial Loetan in Jakarta, Sunday.

The grant money will be registered in the national budget (APBN) while the foreign fund will add to the 2009 education budget worth 224 billion rupiah.
