Vietnam joins global e-procurement system
Vietnam joined dgMarket, the world's largest and most successful e-procurement information system, opening the way for local firms to participate in international bidding.

The portal, at, was launched August 8 by the Vietnam Sustainable Development Centre (VNSDC) and the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI).

"The dgMarket system is saving governments around the world hundreds of millions of dollars in procurement costs and now Vietnam can also benefit from the savings," said Tran Thi Thu Huong, director of the Vietnam Development Gateway (VNDG), the operator of the portal.
Huong said the intuitive interface and powerful backend will enable both buyers and bidders to save time and money during the tender process as well as reducing operating costs through the life of the contract.
With access to the global dgMarket, dgMarket Vietnam provides integrated information on public procurement tenders in over 150 countries, according to VNDG. VNA
