Car sales surge 62% in June
The Vietnam Automobile Manufacturers’ Association (VAMA) announced that it sold 6.083 vehicles in June, marking a year-on-year rise of 62%.

Toyota Viet Nam recorded the most robust sales by offloading 1,773 vehicles, an increase of 283 vehicles over the previous month.

The second and third places went to two local companies - Truong Hai with 956 vehicles and Xuan Kien, 608. The figure brings the total number of vehicles sold in the first-half of this year to 28,524, a year-on-year increase of 79%.

During the six-month period, sales of multipurpose vehicles (MPVs) and sedans and sport utility vehicles (SUVs) surged by a massive 270 percent combined. VNA
