International auditing firm opens office
Ernst and Young, an international auditing company, has been authorised by the government to conduct auditing activities in Laos.

The company officially opened its office in Vientiane on Monday with the witness of Deputy Minister of Finance, Mr Somdy Douangdy, Minister to Prime Minister’s Office, Dr Bountiem Phissamay and high ranking-officials concerned.

“Our company will provide transparent and fair auditing activities for our customers,” said Managing Partner of Ernst-Young Office Mr Thanh Naguyen.

We had decided to set up our representative office here because the economy of the Lao PDR is growing constantly, and both domestic and foreign business companies are increasing their investment projects across the country, said Mr Thanh.
Before opening its branch in Laos, Ernst and Young has provided professional services with the active collaboration of Lao Inter-consulting Company and SNP Accounting Service since 2005, he added.

Ernst and Young has already served Lao clients, including Lao-Viet Bank, Lao Development Bank, Agricultural Promotion Bank, Phongsavanh Bank, State-owned enterprises, NGOs and large investment projects. KPL
