New Clark facilities available by end-July
A key Clark Special Economic Zone (CSEZ) developer announced that approximately 3,000 square meters of office space suitable for an outsourcing operation will be available for occupancy by the end of July.

Berthaphil, Inc. representative Peter Herman said the new building is part of an IT office park the company is building on the former US base.

Herman said the IT office park buildings can be constructed in approximately six months and turned over to occupants for fit out.

He said the 3,000-square-meter facility opening in July can quickly be expanded in 500 square meter increments as business expands.

“This provides great flexibility for BPO service providers that need to be prepared to expand operations quickly in response to client demand. We’ve provided a footprint that allows operators to add approximately 60 seats almost on demand, quickly and efficiently,” Herman explained.

Berthaphil also offers locators purpose-designed space for training and recruitment while facilities are being fitted out.

“We want our locators to have the resources they need to make their CSEZ operations successful from the start, so we make these facilities available to them. When the doors open to their new space, they can begin operations immediately, and immediately begin earning a return on their investment,” Herman said.

To complement the industrial and IT parks, Herman said, Bethaphil will begin constructing the Centre at Clark mixed use development in the third quarter of the year.

The development will include retail and food and entertainment establishments, serviced apartments for executives, and dormitories for knowledge workers employed by locators in both the light industrial and IT parks. The development will occupy 3,000 square meters.

Herman said the plans call for the 14-hectare IT park to eventually offer outsourcing-ready space.

In all, Berthaphil will develop almost 15 hectares of space in the CSEZ.

The company was the first developer to invest in the special economic zone, and has operated in the Philippines for more than 60 years. PNA
