Lee to visit Brunei June 27
Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong will make a two-day official visit to Brunei from June 27 to mark the 40th anniversary of the Singapore-Brunei Currency Interchangeability Agreement.

He will be there at the invitation of Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah, according to a statement by the Foreign Ministry on June 26.

"The Currency Interchangeability Agreement underpins the longstanding and extensive bilateral relations and cooperation between Singapore and Brunei," the statement said.

The agreement states that both countries accept each other's currencies at equal value. During the visit, Lee and Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah will launch two new 20 dollars notes to mark the anniversary.

Lee will be accompanied by Foreign Minister George Yeo, Trade and Industry Minister Lim Hng Kiang and other senior officials. ASEAN, dialogue partners find better cooperation on combating transnational crime. Xinhua
