Investments flow into agriculture-forestry production
There have been seven foreign investment projects of agriculture and forestry production across Savannakhet. Their investment contributes to the improvement of locals’ living condition.

Significant investment projects include sugarcane plantation by Midphol Laos on 10,000 ha in Champhone and Sayboury, sugarcane plantation of Namtansavannakhet in Atsaphangthong district, cassava plantation of Henan Company (China) on 3,700 ha in Phalanxay, cassava plantation of Tiahuy Trading Company on 2,100 ha in Phalanxay district, rubber plantation of Lao-Thai Hua, and Kuasasirico Joint Venture on 10,000 ha, and the biggest investment project in agriculture and forestry production, eucalyptus plantation of Berla Lao Pam An Plantation (India) on 50,000 ha.

The company has been allowed by government to plant eucalyptus under the concession period of 75 years in the investment of 350 million US dollars.
Another joint venture company, Pudding Co Danang-Savannakhet, has just had its memorandum of understanding on conducting a feasibility study for a rubber plantation project on 2,000 ha signed. If the study shows that the investment is economically possible, the company will further its investment project by signing an agreement with Lao government. KPL
