China to provide US$ 2.5 million for improving NOSPA

(KPL) Beijing and Khunming, China have agreed to provide US$ 2.5 million
for improving National Oganisation for Studies of Politics and
Administration (NOSPA).

The decision was made during a visit of Lao delegation led by Vientiane
Party Secretary Sombath Yialiheu to China on 10-17 May. Mayor of Beijing
had agreed to promote the cooperation with Vientiane especially through
promoting the visit exchange of two provinces’ delegations, while Major of
Khunming has agreed to receive Lao officials at the district and grass
root levels of Vientiane to take part at study tours on village building,
development focal areas, and poverty reduction in China.

During seven days of the visit, Lao delegation visited economic
establishments in Beijing, Shanghai, Huzhuo and Khunming. The delegation
was warmly welcomed by Party Committee’s Secretaries of said Chinese
