Mizzima Media signs MOU with Elevate to operate Digital TV channel

Mizzima Media Company Limited signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Elevate Broadcast Co Ltd today, 7 November, for cooperation to design, supply equipment, install, train and support Broadcast systems, facilities and operation to operate the Mizzima Digital TV channel which will start broadcasting on the MTRV network in February 2018.

According to the MOU, the scope of Elevate Broadcast is to work as a technical adviser to Mizzima Media to assure the technical systems and facilities are procured and installed to meet the needs of Mizzima to produce content and air daily on MRTV.

The scope of Mizzima Media is to be responsible for all creative and operational aspect of the Broadcast operations as well as physical facilities.

The MOU also says that all programming and content decisions shall be the responsibility of Mizzima.

It is commonplace in journalism to write two types of articles at the transition point between the year that has passed and the New Year. As this writer qualifies as an “old hand” in observing Thailand with a track record dating back 14 years, it is time take a shot at what may unfold in Thailand in 2011.
