Myanmar quake stirs 'End of Days' fear
An earthquake measuring 4.1 on the Richter scale struck Myanmar on Thursday morning and could be felt in Thailand's northern provinces of Chiang Rai and Chiang Mai, reports said.
According to the reports, the earthquake caused panic among villagers as they linked it to the mythical Mayan prophecy of the world's end on Friday.
People in Chiang Rai's Mae Sai district and in high buildings in Chiang Mai can felt the tremble.
There were no immediate reports of casualties or damage.
Authorities warned people not to panic because earthquakes occurred regularly in Myanmar.
