Malaysia-India CEO Forum wants bottlenecks ended
They also want the creation of a more conducive business climate, which would attract greater trade and investment both ways.
Both countries should also collaborate in technology transfer and development of new technologies, they said in a joint statement here following the forum here Wednesday.
The forum was held in conjunction with India's Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh's official visit to Malaysia. Also present at the closed-door forum was Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.
The CEO Forum also called for the pooling of synergies and complementary strength of each country and venturing jointly into third countries.
For its long-term program, the CEO Forum established nine priority areas for further action.
They comprise seeking improvement in government delivery systems, promoting trade and investments, exploring business opportunities in third countries, collaborating in human resources development, education, healthcare and biosciences, property development, promoting tourism, construction and infrastructure development, manufacturing and ICT.
