Trading ideas: UEM Land, BHIC, Wah Seong, DiGi
KUALA LUMPUR: Hwang DBS Vickers Research (HDBSVR) said UEM Land, BHIC, Wah Seong and DiGi could see trading interest on Tuesday following fresh corporate developments.
It said UEM Land sold 12.5 acres of land in Nusajaya, Johor for RM182.0mil cash.
As for BHIC, it was awarded contracts valued at RM515mil from Boustead Naval Shipyard Sdn Bhd (BNS) for two projects under the littoral combat ships programme.
HDBSVR said Wah Seong had teamed up with a Japanese party to carry out the business of manufacturing turbines and any other related ancillary equipment parts.
DiGi is scheduled to announce its latest quarterly results during lunch hours today.
As for the market outlook, the research house said the local stock market might continue to trade sideways on light trading volume.
“On the chart, the benchmark FBM KLCI could pull away a bit further from the psychological support mark of 1,700. “Meanwhile, key market barometers on Wall Street staged a rebound last night with gains of between 0.1% and 0.9% as sentiment was lifted by better corporate earnings and higher commodity prices,” said HDBSVR.
