Malaysia: "not a daydream"
"This is not an unattainable wish. This is not a daydream. It is something which we have planned carefully.
"We conducted in-depth studies. The prime minister said the national administration was on a sound footing with a clear direction, strong cohesion and a track record of service to the people beyond compare.
Najib said the government was courageously on track towards a huge transformation to prove that it could provide something better and give fresh hope to Malaysians. He said that to achieve that vision, the government needed the undivided support of the people.
Najib said the government gave priority to the people in national development and the people must feel that their dream had been fulfilled.
"The dream of the people is to live in a progressive country, and they have hopes (to fulfill). As the government, we give the people hope, not disappointment, he said.
