Biznet invests $100m for fiber optic expansion this year

Internet service and network provider Biznet is expanding its fiber optic network and customer base.

“To help build modern infrastructure to reduce the country’s digital gap, Biznet has prepared US$100 million this year,” it said in a statement on Friday.

The company aims to build a 20,000-kilometer network by year-end to reach small towns, mainly those across Java, Bali and Sumatra.

“In line with our wider outreach, Biznet aims to gain 100,000 customers by the end of 2017.
