Foreign investors show interest in Indo airport
Foreign investors have shown interest in taking part in a project to improve the Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Banten, West Java, an official says. Tri Sunoko, the president director of airport operator PT Angkasa Pura II, said the renovation of the airport would be carried out by local and foreign players. “We have committed to developing terminals of the airport with our own resources with support from local banks and bonds issuance,” said Tri, adding that foreign investors could develop the commercial areas in the airport complex. Tri said foreign companies that had expressed their interest included Singapore sovereign wealth fund Temasek, Samsung and the International Airport Company from South Korea and the Itochu Corporation of Japan.
