Indo finance commission to visit four countries
One of the commission members, Wayan Guna Sastra from the Democratic Party, told reporters at the House in Jakarta on Monday that the legislators visiting the four countries planned to conduct a comparison study to help them deliberate the Financial Services Authorization (OJK) bill.
"I am part of the team that will visit South Korea and Japan," Wayan said.
"We want to learn from the countries which successfully implement OJK law. The OJK bill is important, as such a bill has to be endorsed by December 2010," he added.
Wayan said that the legislators would go abroad on October 30.
"The field study will be for about a week or six days," he said.
Wayan, however, said that he had no idea what the budget allocation was for the trip.
Recently, legislators at the House honors board was said to have spent around Rp 2.2 billion to visit Greece.
