Friday, March 18, 2011
Shangri-La Hotel

89 Soi Wat Suan Plu, New Rd., Bangrak, Bangkok 10500 Thailand

Warm greetings from AseanAffairs, an independent media with a dedicated focus on Southeast Asia (Asean), connecting the region with the world and vice versa.

The Save Our Planet conference series was launched in 2010 by Asean Affairs - the Global Publication of Southeast Asia. The series began in March 2010 in Bangkok (12 March and 25 March) and continued in Malaysia (3 Aug 2010 in Kuala Lumpur). It continues in 2011 in Thailand, Singapore, and Malaysia. Plans to organize the series in India, Vietnam, Indonesia and China are on the drawing board, culminating in a mega-conference at the end of the series.

More than 700 participants have attended the SOP 2010 series from a dozen countries. “SOP has become a prestigious and internationally recognized event in a very short time”, remarked Mr. Peter Chin, Malaysia’s Minister of Energy, Green Technology and Water in his keynote speech at SOP Malaysia on 3 August 2010.

Sincerely,
