Save Our Planet Conference Series 2011
Invitation to participate in the Save Our Planet Conference Series 2011
The Save Our Planet conference series was launched in 2010 by Asean Affairs - the Global Publication of Southeast Asia. The series began in March 2010 in Bangkok (12 March and 25 March) and continued in Malaysia (3 Aug 2010 in Kuala Lumpur). Over 700 participants and 60 speakers were part of the 2010 series. All the presentations were made available in print (Asean Affairs global magazine) and online (pdf reports, individual presentations as well as videos).
The Save Our Planet conferences continue in 2011 in Thailand, Singapore, and Malaysia. Plans to organize the series in India, Vietnam, Indonesia and China are on the drawing board, culminating in a mega-conference at the end of the series. “Save Our Planet IV” on 18 March 201l in Bangkok is the fourth in a series of conferences organized by AseanAffairs. The conference seeks to enlighten leaders in business and government in Southeast Asia to the outcome of the Cancun Climate Conference, create awareness of our growing carbon footprint, and find sustainable solutions for individuals, businesses, civic society and governments to contribute toward saving our planet from catastrophic consequences before it is too late. The Fourth Save Our Planet conference in Bangkok will search for consensus on effective climate change initiatives and identify emerging business and investment opportunities. It will help Thai businesses to learn from the best practices that are available today to turn their businesses green. This is the forum for leaders of Asean’s business community, civic organizations and academic institutions to come together to reaffirm their confidence in Asean’s future.
We have invited Dr Supachai Tantikom, Member, Advisory Committee to Governor of Bangkok and Mrs. Kasemsri Homchean, Governor, Thailand Institute of Scientific and Technological Research to officiate and deliver the Keynote Address. We have also invited thirty six leading experts in their fields to be speaker/panelists. At SOP Bangkok, on 18 March 2011, the audience of 300 - 400 participants will comprise heads/owners of businesses, CEOs, ambassadors and other top diplomats as well as heads of various ministries.
Please confirm your attendance within 11 March 2011 for us to make reservations. Confirmation is also required. The entire event (speaker presentation and Q& A) will be published on our website under Event Page, Save Our Planet Conference Series 2011.
