Dr. Robert K. Dixon
Director of International Initiatives at the U.S. Department of Energy (Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy).
A Senior Scientist in the areas of Biochemistry and has taught at famous universities such as Oxford,
Moscow State and Minnesota. He has been awarded a Smithsonian Fellowship in 1985 to
evaluate natural resource and renewable energy development projects in South Asia.
Dr. Smrithi Talwar
Chief Coordinator for the Director General's Office in The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI),
New Delhi, India. A public international lawyer who has specialized in environmental policy
pertaining to the decentralized and participatory governance of natural resources.
Contributes her knowledge by giving lectures on Indian and international environmental law.
Dr. Sridhar Samudrala
Currently, the World Alliance for Decentralized Energy's (WADE) Director for Asia and
has 18 years of energy management and consultancy experience. He has written many publications
and has assisted in the development of the Handbook of Climate Change Mitigations Options for USAID
as well as co-authored a reference book on the world's top private power markets for McGraw Hll.
Dr. Benjamin K. Sovacool
An Assistant Professor at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore.
Also a research Fellow in the Energy Governance Programme at the Cente on Asia and Globalisation.
He has published more than 90 academic papers with research interests in energy policy,
environmental issues and science & technology policy.
Mr. Chantho Milattanapheng
Chief of Socio-Environmental Management Division Ministry of Energy and Mines,
Laos.Project manager for National Renewable Energy Formulation and Capacity Building project.
Professor Dr. Haruo Imai
A well-known Economics Professor at the Kyoto Institute of Economic Research, Japan.
His research field is in game theory, mathematical economics, microeconomics,
and their application in industrial economics and environmental policy.
