AABC hosts second Conference on Sufficiency Economy

The Asean Affairs Business Council held it 2nd Conference on His Majesty the King’s Sufficiency Economy Philosophy this past Thursday October 21st at the Rembrandt Hotel in Bangkok.

Speaking at the event were Privy Councilor General Pichitr Kullavanijaya, former WBC British-champion and movie star Gary Stretch, Asian Development Bank Thailand Director Jean-Pierre Verbiest, America’s #1 Sale & Marketing Expert Mark McClure, Chairman LGT Bank Singapore Rolf Gerber, Executive Vice President of Suvarnabhumi Airport Ms.. Vilaiwan Nadvilai, and President Emeritus of Assumption University Bangkok Rev. Bro. Dr. Prathip Martin Komolmas..

This second in a series of ongoing events theme was “Sufficiency Economy in Action”. Each speaker highlighted ways and means by which Thailand’s revered King Bhumibol’s Sufficiency economy Philosophy ( SEP ) could be implemented in the public and private sectors.

Opening the event was Mom Luang Rajadarasri Jayankura, Chairwoman of Asean Affairs with an introduction to SEP by the Founder and CEO of Asean Affairs Mr. Swarup Roy.

In an effort to raise the awareness of SEP globally, the Asean Affairs Business Council decided it needed to hold a sequence of events focused on this one issue.

In the words of Mr. Roy,” To achieve a sufficiency economy, an application of knowledge with due consideration and prudence is essential”.
