He obtained a certificate in education from the University of Birmingham in 1964. Subsequently, he obtained his bachelor’s degree in economics and an MBA, both from the University of Malaya.

 3)  Mr. Suryo B. Sulistos

Suryo Sulisto received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin and MBA from Washington University, Pennsylvania, U.S.A. He is also a graduate (1993) of Lemhanas Class-27 (The National Defense Institute of Indonesia) and is also currently President Commissioner of PT. Bumi Resources (Tbk), a publicly listed company active in Energy and Mining.

4)  Mr. Arin Jira
Co-Chairman, The ASEAN Business Advisory Council (ASEAN-BAC)

Arin Jira is currently the Co-Chairman of the ASEAN Business Advisory Council (ASEAN-BAC). During 2008 and 2009, he was the Chairman of the ASEAN-BAC, a council comprising CEOs of companies in ASEAN, represented by 3 members from each member country who are officially designated by their respective governments. He obtained his MBA at the Haas Business School and his bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering at the University of California, Berkeley.

5)  Dr. Suthiphand Chirathivat
Chairman, Chula Global Network Chulalongkorn University, Thailand

Dr. Suthiphand Chirathivat is associate professor and former dean of the faculty of economics. He now also serves as Chairman, Chula Global Network, Chulalongkorn University. Until recently, he was Chairman of the Ph.D. Program in Economics, Chairman of Economics Research Center and Center for International Economics.

6)  H.E. Ong Keng Yong
Former ASEAN Secretary-General and Ambassador-at-Large, Singapore

Ong Keng Yong is Director of the Institute of Policy Studies, Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy at the National University of Singapore. He is concurrently Ambassador-At-Large in the Singapore Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He was ASEAN Secretary-General from January 2003 to January 2008.

Karim Raslan is a syndicated columnist and political commentator. He is the author of five books. 8)  Tunku Abidin Muhriz

S. Pushpanathan was appointed by the Asean Coordinating Council as the Deputy Secretary- General of Asean for the Asean Economic Community on Dec.15, 2008. He received his first degree in Economics and Political Science from the National University of Singapore (NUS) in 1988 and a Masters Degree in Public Policy from The Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, NUS, In 1994.
10)  Mr. Hidetoshi Nishimura

Mr. Hidetoshi Nishimura is the founding Executive Director of Economic Research Institute for Asean and East Asia (ERIA) since June 2008. Prior to taking up this position, he worked for the establishment of ERIA as Special Assistant to the Chairman on ERIA Matters in JETRO. Mr Nishimura has a long career of nearly 30 years in the Ministry of International Trade and Industry, Japan.

11)  Mr. Joseph Tan

Joseph Tan is Credit Suisse’s Asian Chief Economist for the Private Bank and heads up the Asian Economics, Foreign Exchange and Commodities Research team based in Singapore.

13)    H.E. Imee R. Marcos

Governor Province of IIocos Norte, Philippines

Imee R. Marcos was one of the first female graduates from Princeton University, and earned honors in law. She is also a theater, TV and film producer, responsible for Filipino film classics winning Cannes Special Jury Prizes. She also organized a three million strong village youth group - the Kabataang Barangay

Kee Beom Kim is Employment Specialist with the Decent Work Technical Support Team for East and Southeast Asia and the Pacific of the International Labour Office (ILO), based in Bangkok, Thailand. Before joining the ILO in 2002, he was an Analyst at the Korea Development Bank. He has published a number of publications and papers on labour market and employment issues.
15)  Dato’ Sri Jamaludin Ibrahim

Jamaludin Ibrahim is currently the President and Group Chief Executive Officer for Axiata Group Berhad, a position he has held since March 2008. Before this he spent 10 years with Maxis Communications Berhad, retiring as Group CEO in 2007.
