US Markets bounced back today and that is certain to see good gains in ASEAN Markets today, even Thailand looks set to rally. US stocks rallied after a slump last week, as upbeat reports on consumer spending, manufacturing and the auto sales led to big gains for consumer-related stocks.

This week will see more good news on Wall St and all ASEAN Markets will have a very positive week, Thailand has the potential to surge forward if their is an end to the political crisis.

Thailand, Philippines, and Vietnam were closed on Monday for a public holiday.

Singapore was down 1 percent yesterday led by a 0.5 percent loss in Oversea-Chinese Banking Corp, a 0.4 percent fall in United Overseas Bank and a 1.3 percent loss in DBS Group Holdings.

Jakarta, Asia’s second best performer this year, fell 0.4 percent after hitting a new record high of 2,982.36 points during the trading session.Market heavyweight Astra International fell 1.6 percent and Adaro Energy lost 3.4 percent.

On Friday, U.S. stocks tumbled to close out the worst week since January as news of a criminal probe into Goldman Sachs unnerved investors already anxious about the prospects for heavy regulation from Washington.

China on Sunday raised the proportion of deposits that lenders must keep in reserve at the central bank to mop up excess cash in the economy at a time when inflation is on the rise.
