Founder & Chairman of AseanAffairs AND AABC
 Swarup Roy is the Founder and Chairman of ASEAN AFFAIRS, the first and only global publication of Southeast Asia and Save Our Planet conference series. Born in 1969 in India, Roy was the president of Business Day (2002 to 2006), Thailand’s only English language daily business newspaper. He has more than18 years of corporate, management and entrepreneurial experience. He started his management career in 1993 at the age of 22 and worked with some of the leading companies in India for the next eight years rising to middle management by the age of 27.

In 2000 he almost lost his life in a near fatal accident. It took five years and five surgeries for him to start walking normally again. But during that period (2000-2004), he left India for Thailand on a crutch, ran a daily newspaper as President, started his own company (2004) and launched his global publication, Asean Affairs (2006). He holds a bachelor’s degree in physics and an MBA (Gold Medalist) from Chennai University, India. His company TIME INTERNATIONAL MANAGEMENT ENTERPRISES CO. LTD., is based in Bangkok (Thailand) and India and is in the business of publishing, media and technology. Asean Affairs is available in 35 countries in the world.


Chairman, Malaysian Institute of Management

Dato’ Mohamed Iqbal Rawther is the President of AABC and Vice President of the ASEAN Business Forum and also Chairman of the Malaysian Institute of Management. He obtained a Certificate in Education from the University of Birmingham in 1964. Subsequently, he obtained his Bachelor of Economics Degree (Honours) and a Masters Degree in Business Administration in 1971 and 1973 respectively, both from the University of Malaya. He then furthered his studies and obtained the International Management Teacher’s Programme certificate from the joint programme organised by the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration and the Centre D’ Enseignment Superior Des Affairs, Paris, France in 1978. In 1993, he received a Doctorate in Management from La Salle University, USA. He has worked as an educator, business executive and banking executive.


Executive Director, TIOS Group International, Paris
Caroline Couronne is President of AABC for Europe/Africa/Middle East/Latin America. She is the co-founder of the French Syndicate for Economic Intelligence in France, SynfIE and the Regional representative for the Federation of Economic Intelligence FepIE.

She is involved in the promotion of economic intelligence within the French business community, and has been advising for SMEs and large corporations to develop their trade and investment activities in ASEAN for many years.

She is currently developing the activities of TIOS Group International in Marseille, France to promote and increase trade links between the EU and ASEAN, focusing on the opportunities for Halal business.

TIOS Group International is AABC’s Economic Intelligence Strategic Partner (EU/Africa/Latin America) TIOS Group International, is a publishing and economic intelligence research company, with interests in ASEAN, West Africa and Latin America, with a clear insight to promote trade and investment opportunities in order to increase wealth and alleviate poverty


Honorary Chairwoman of AseanAffairs

She is the Great Great Granddaughter of His Majesty, King Rama IV of Thailand. She is a well-known and highly respected philanthropist, business woman in Thailand and around the world. She is the Honorary Chairwoman of ASEANAFFAIRS. She also owns Harrow International School, Thailand with plans to open in India and other countries, Royal Security Service 1998 Co Ltd, Hyde Park – a high end property company and is on the Board of many companies and organizations.


Country General Manager, Emerson (Thailand) Ltd
His career in the field of process control instrumentation spans more than 25 years including resident asssignment in India, Korea, Japan, and Thailand. He has held position in product development, international operations, and sales of complex automation solutions applied in the energy sector worldwide. During his past six years in Thailand he has established an Emerson wholly owned subsidiary and has been a driving force in establishing the Fieldbus Foundation Marketing Committee, an organization comprised of automation technology manufacturers and end user companies whose mission is to promote an increased awareness and adoption of advanced digital technologies by manufacturers in the chemical and hydrocarbon processing industries as well as the power industry and many others.
